there are two ways one can use the verb <<tax>> (or at least two that i
know of). lets take a look at the following examples :

1. the captain's attempts to exit the meypur nebula,were taxing on the
warbird's engines.
2. the evil king taxed his people to the point of extinction

..and now comes the time to open TKD p.106 and read :

rup fine,tax (v)

as we see the word <<tax>> isn't within brackets,which would give the
impression that its meaning is limited to the meaning of example number 2.

so the question arises..

can I use {rup} in both ways (as illustrated in the aforementioned
examples), or doing so I would be in canon violation,thus bringing down
upon me the wrath of the Ca'non master ?
