I wonder about this poetic use of “heart”. My sense is that it means “the deepest part”, as in, “There is wildness out there, with a vague boundary and a kind of intensity that is greatest where it is farthest from the outside. I wandered in that area with the greatest degree of wildness.”

The English says, “heart”. Should we stick with that? Or is there a clearer way to express the meaning without adhering to the original English word, converting it to an equivalent Klingon word, and then trying to mash the resulting Klingon sentence a bit until you suspect it might be less confusing?

I think it’s better to abandon the English words entirely and write the meaning in Klingon. Just use the original words to understand what is intended to be conveyed, then express that meaning without the fetters of somebody else’s word choice.

This is the drum I’ve been beating since I started learning Klingon. I’m sure you are tired of hearing it, but in this case, I need to go thump, thump, thump once again.
