I am happy with the answer. It matches my expectations perfectly. It is consistent with the examples in TKD, and it makes explicit what has previously only been hinted at in examples like {X ben jIboghpu'}. It also clearly negates the idea that Klingon perfective carries a "from start to finish" meaning, an idea which I never saw support for in canonical sources.

I hope I would also have been happy to have the question settled in a way that defied my expectations, as long as it was settled.

My only immediate question is something not prompted by this answer. I have long wondered exactly what it means to put a perfective suffix on a verb representing a state or quality. For example, does {tujpu'} carry an implication that it is no longer hot?

It's good to know this one way or the other as well.
