It's the difference between "She said, 'The science officer took the 
grain and the jacket to the lab'." and "She said the science officer 
took the grain and jacket to the lab."  She may have actually said 
"HIja', ravDaq 'oHtaH. tIr boSta'DI' tlhap rollIw."  More on this in 
a couple of 'ay'mey, actually. I have a lot to say about it.
