{ghuH} "prepare for, be alerted to" means you're not taken by surprise,
not that you're making preparations. Try using {ghobrup}.

Also, instead of {noH}, you probably want to use the word {veS}. {noH}
refers to a particular war, while {veS} refers to warfare.

What the cat commander says should be his own words, not your
third-person reiteration. {DIvI'maj Degh yIlegh}.

I would leave off the {-choH}. It's not forever starting to scare them,
and the idea of starting isn't really important here (according to your
English translation). Just say {reH lIghIjchoH Deghvam}.

You might even consider adding a {-jaj} to the sentence, though it's not
essential.

This time {noH} is correct. It's a specific war, this one, not just the
idea of war.

{qaSpu'} isn't right, though. You're not completing the war in this
sentence; you're saying it started. I'd say {tugh taghpu' noH} "soon the
war started" or even {tugh ghobchoH} "soon they started to make war."

Nice {rIntaH}!

{-vo'} isn't right here. Nothing is moving away from the targs. Qov gave
a good alternative.
