Not really a triplet:

In weaving, the threads you place on the loom into which you will later weave are called the warp. As you sit at the loom, these stretch up or forward (depending on the construction of the loom), away from you.

The threads you push under and over the warp, or pass through the layers of the warp, using the shuttle, depending on your level of weaving technology, are called the weft. These run back and forth in front of the weaver.

The first spreadsheet program to become popular, in fact the software that sold a lot of PCs, was called Lotus 123:  wa’ cha(‘)w(ej).
