If you want to describe them as being small in size, say {puqpu' mach}. 
If you want to describe them as being young, say {puqpu' Qup}.
If you want to describe your affection for them, say {puqoypu'}.

{puqHom} means something like a child, but less.

You forgot the {-'e'} on {HaqwI'}. It's sooooo easy to forget that 
{-'e'} when your "to be" clauses get complicated.
