It can be argued that {meQtaHbogh qach} is similar. That would still
leave {Ha'DIbaH meQ} as the "other" usage, so even claiming that
"burning house" is "house which burns things" can't completely resolve
the multiplicity of meanings.

I once considered treating {meQ} as a verb of quality meaning "be
burning hot", but {to’waQ meQ vutwI’} remains an anomaly.
