> Klingon word: Saj
> Part of speech: noun
> Definition: pet

Used in a sentence:

  SajlIj 'oHbe' quvwIj'e'.
My honor is not your play-thing.
(lit. "My honor is not your pet.") (STConst p.259)

Language notes:

KGT 33: [{-oy} is usually used ... for other people or animals for which a child feels some fondness ({targhoy}, "targy," perhaps, for a pet targ).

KGT 34: It is entirely inappropriate for an adult or even an older child to use {puq Hol} except when speaking to a baby, though it is occasionally used when speaking to pets.

Cultural notes:

TKW 173: a [targ] ... is often kept as a pet... The tiny Klingon glob flies typically swarm about targs, undoubtedly making them that much more appealing.

Dr Antaak's pet targ on the Qu'Vat Colony is named Boshar (ENT "Affliction")

Worf had a pet targ when he was a child. (TNG "Where No One Has Gone Before")

On the day his wife Sirella moved into Martok's home she objected to his old pet targ, which he'd since he was a boy. Sirella loathed him and when supervising the unloading of her bags, she "accidentally" left the front door open. His faithful targ, ever-ready to follow the call of the wild, tottered outside on his frail legs and disappeared into the forest. Martok never laid eyes on him again. (DS9 "Strange Bedfellows")

Kruge's pet reptile-dog (a {Qogh}?) was named Warrigul; it sat next to him on the bridge of his Bird-of-Prey. (ST3)
