With noun-noun constructs, the formula always seems to be "A B" = "B pertaining to A".
So, a bottle of bloodwine would still be 'Iw HIq bal; otherwise, it'd be something like "bottled bloodwine" or "bloodwine for bottles".

If you want to specify that it's a bottle which simply happens to contain bloodwine, I suppose you could call it {'Iw HIq ngaStaHbogh bal'e'}.

Once again, the beginner goes out on a limb...

{'Iw HIq bal} -- bloodwine bottle, IOW the type of bottle used for
storing bloodwine
{bal 'Iw HIq} -- bottle of bloodwine(?)

{vaghmaH balmey 'Iw HIq ngaS qeghvam.} -- This keg/barrel contains 50
bottles (worth) of bloodwine.

Or should that be written {vaghmaH bal 'Iw HIqmey 'Iw HIq ngaS qeghvam},
treating {bal 'Iw HIq} as a single unit (of measure)?
