AFAIK that line from CK is the only canon example for {lIgh} "ride".  So the question is actually:  Can you also use {lIgh} for animals?

I've always used *{lupDuj} for larger passenger shuttles, transport ships, runabouts, troopships, as well as airplanes, etc.  But what Klingons call them is unknown.

>From DS9 we know there were regular shuttles from DS9 to Bajor and a "Klingon transport" was alleged to have been destroyed by the Defiant in DS9 "Rules of Engagement".
