The Internet is the actual network; the WWW is one particular use of
it, or specifically http(s)-protocol based communications.

Email is another use of the Internet which doesn't rely on the WWW
(though of course there are WWW applications that let you SEE your
email on a webpage, so it's easy to confuse them still). --
