I think you're right about tay', but not tlhej. With tlhej, the subject accompanies the object. It's described in some detail in HolQeD 2:4:

Perhaps you are confusing it with ghom, which has been shown to work both ways?

should have the same structure as

and

reH tay' ghot tuqDaj je

if I read that aright.
