I'm sure the ultimate decision lies with CBS and Pocket Books and if they
feel it's worth it to them.
Surprisingly, they've authorized an update to the Star Trek Encyclopedia,
which should be coming out next year.
Unsurprisingly, it will be out of date the moment the next film hits the
screens...
Last I checked, TKD is still in print, and the back cover has an updated
CBS copyright (meaning that someone took the time to edit the back cover
text).

I have made my own TKD file, or at least I started one several years ago.
I took the text of TKD and merged TKDa into it thanks to the numbering
system used in both.
I then fixed all of the typos that klingonska.org had listed.
Then I merged in what I could from KGT, msn, HQ, etc.
Somethings made sense to me, like including "time" under the same section
as "numbers".
A lot of it seemed to warrant its own section.
The interview from HQ with MO on {-ghach} naturally follows the text
introducing the suffix.
This way, the reader gets all of the info on the suffix at once, and
doesn't have to flip anywhere else.

I also incorporated grammar notes from ter'eS ' grammar addendum:
http://www.klingonwiki.net/En/KlingonGrammarAddendum

Due to the file sizes, this is a separate document than my actual Klingon -
English dictionary file,
which I have laid out as more than a simple word list.

It's been a few years since I've actually worked on the thing, but it was a
fun project back in the day.
