This really captures a specific moment of description. I like it.

I’m not so much sure that {-lu’} is applicable here. “One” is not taking me away. THEY are taking me away. Real, specific people.

So, in order that they begin taking me away, they are intentionally approaching me with a foreseeably successful conclusion to their activity. They have a defined goal, and they are on the cusp of achieving it.

All while I stand here, blithely staring at them, making my observation, singing my little song.
