For Walter Scotts’ and the Tholians’ “tangled web”, I should think so as the imagery is the same. For the medical term probably not. What TOS Federation doctors call a bone-knitter, bone-knitting laser or bone regenerator the Klingons call a {petqaD} (etymology unknown):
The surgeon typically injects a combined stimulant and pain killer,
before using a {petqaD} to bond broken bones in place and a dermal
regenerator to suture any wounds. Typical turnaround times allow
an injured crewman to return to his post within seven minutes.

Wonder if this can be used in other places where "weave" and "knit" can be found?
Some examples I can think of immediately are Walter Scott's "O what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive!" and the medical term for when a broken bone begins to reform, as in "The ends of the bone fracture are knitting together." Also, can this be used to refer to a spider's (or squadron of Tholian ships') web building?
If so, I know some Pagan friends who worship the Fates Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos who will be elated at the news that they can name their favourite deities {San nIqwI'pu'}.
