We know from John Ford's /The Final Reflection/ that Klin Zha {tlhInja} has:

(1) A board {che'ron} ("battlefield") that's triangular {ra'Duch tIQ} as
are the many "squares" {ra'DuchHommey} that make up the board.

(2) Pieces move about these {ra'DuchHommey} is various ways depending on
the specific piece.

(3) When placing pieces, one player choose one corner, the other player
a second corner, leaving the remaining third of the board blank.

Direction has always intrigued/plagued me with respect to {tlhInja}. But
I think I have a possible solution:

(1) The empty third of the {che'ron} is always designated "east"
{chan}. This leaves the opponents having set up there pieces in either
the "northwest" {'em} or "southwest" {tIng} corners.

(2) The direction a piece moves is described as {chan tIng 'em joq} or
some combination of the two, depending of the specific orientation of
the piece's starting {ra'DuchHom}.

Does this work for anyone else?
