My feeling is that we too often assign a range of English meanings to a Klingon word, when the Klingon might be more tightly focused.
Just because cruft can be applied in English to both redundant/useless software and a bomber that has been superceded by newer technology, doesn't mean that any Klingon word will display a similar range of meanings. Klingon is not simply a "code" for English.
