The dictionary is available for OS X, Windows, or iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad-in-iPhone-emulation-mode). The suite is only available for iOS.

This deserves a better review than I have time to give just now. The dictionary and the dictionary section of the suite are identical. The suite adds Conversational Klingon and a phrase book by topic.

There is a degree to which Klingon has been squeezed into a template that doesn't fit it especially well, but the programmers have made an honest effort to provide a useful tool.

There is no facility that I can find to add new words, nor are there any citations of sources, so its utility to me is limited, and there are little things in the interface that bother me, like when you've selected dictionary, you have to remember to select English-to-Klingon or vise versa when appropriate, and no keyboard appears until you have tapped into the field where the entry is to be made. Why the extra step. If I'm on this page, I have no reason to be here except to type in an entry, but no. I have to tap the field, wait for the keyboard, then type the word, then wait for the response.

It's a little tedious.

But it does have help with prefixes (the classic table), and suffixes, not very efficient for browsing, but if you can remember which Type you are looking for, you can see a list and explanation of meaning of each suffix.

I think it's worth having. I'm not delighted with it, but then I'm a tough customer and nothing I've found delights me. Bento came close, but that's now a dead end. Tap Forms has a frustrating tendency to seize up when I'm not in WiFi range because it always wants to synch with iCloud, and if it can't find iCloud, it stops working.

I'm tempted to learn Swift and write my own app. I'm sure if I try, I'll be even MORE frustrated with my own app. But at least, I should be able to give it the features that I want:

Sources.
Quick interface for browsing, search.
Entry of new words.
Perhaps canon, though I currently lack a useful collection of it in a good, searchable form.

Perhaps more later.
