There's also bej, but yes there are some gaps there for glancing at things.
In nuq bop bom I found myself saying things like:

To my mind, "see" is viewing with comprehension, while "look" does not imply
any recognition (although it may be present).
As far as I know, we only have {legh} and perhaps {tu'} to work with ...
{nej} and {Sam} have different meanings entirely.
