I remember an interview with David Petersen where he mentions a pun he
slipped into Valyrian, one of the other languages he invented for
"Game of Thrones". The word for "chain" is "belmon", a reference to
Simon Belmont of the Castlevania video game series, whose trademark
whip could be upgraded to a length of chain.
