"Brain and brain! What is brain?!" (Kara, TOS "Spock's Brain")

KGT 88: Some of the other commonly eaten parts include ... {QoghIj} ("brain"; another word, {yab}, also means brain as an organ, but in addition it means "mind, intellect" and is not used in reference to food)

Pun:
Latin *cogitare*? (i.e. *cogito ergo sum*?)

Brain lore in Trek:

{Qab} (theragen), when diluted with alcohol, deadens certain nerve endings in the brain, making it an effective defense against insanity caused by the deteriorating effects of interspace. Someone who has taken the derivative could be hit by full phaser stun and won't feel it. (TOS "The Tholian Web")

Q liked to refer to Worf as "micro-brain" -- is this just a gratuitous insult or is the Klingon brain smaller than a human brain? Or does it just appear small encased by a large, ridged Klingon skull? (TNG "Hide and Q", "Q Who?", etc.)

Spock's body had to be placed on complete life-support after Kara surgically removed his brain in 2268. (TOS "Spock's Brain")

The Providers on Triskelion were three evolved disembodied brains. (TOS "The Gamesters of Triskelion")
