First, I'm confused why "coke" is listed; since it wasn't on my CD-ROM...
Although I do have mine set to Hawaiian, so it may have been present
in the English version.

Next, does this introduce a new Terran food construction pattern for us to use?

The fruits were all X naH; where X was a transliterated fruit.
Same for the 'oQqar.

So Terran soft drinks would be X 'awje'; no?

Perhaps {tera' na'ran 'awje'} for "orange soda"?

In HolQeD Volume 12, Number 4; "From the Grammarian's Desk", I learned
about {Qel} being used as slang for "Dr Pepper" by qep'a' goers.
(My copy of this issue is misplaced, so I can't quote from it).

The word {'awje'} was known at the time of this article, but it was
apparently felt that it didn't quite get the message across (which it
doesn't).

So, knowing that there are Klingonists out there who refer to Dr
Pepper as simply {Qel}, and now, knowing that one can refer to "cola"
as {qo'la' 'awje'}; it makes sense to me to refer to Dr Pepper as {Qel
'awje'}.

Which I do.

All of this seems fine until you want to refer to yourself, a drinker
of Dr Pepper; a "Pepper".

"I'm a Pepper" suddenly doesn't fit with what we're calling the beverage.

{Qel jIH} doesn't work at all.

If I heard someone say that, I'd expect them to be traveling in a blue
Police box.

Options as I see them:

-Leave well enough alone.
Let the drink and the drinker have separate terms; the marketing
department can sort it out later.

-Refer to the drink as Qel pep'Ir 'awje'

-Refer to the drink as Qel pep'Ir

I find those last two options to be unnecessarily complicated; and
prefer the first one.

But I'd like to get some opinions before I get more T-shirts printed...
(My Mother loves her pIqaD {Qel 'awje'} shirt she got for Mother's Day)

Here are some logo mock ups done by qurgh

This is actually the Diet Dr Pepper logo.
Using {tIS} as "diet" was ghunchu'wI' 's idea.

((This came up while wearing copy of said shirt while watching an "I'm
a Pepper" commercial.))

And does anyone else think that {qoq'a' qo' la'} works for "borg queen"?
