SKI: vajar plays sniper for a bit, then asks
Qoreq for a way to ambush the fresh forces.

[272] On an editing reread I almost rearranged
this sentence so that the effect of vajar's shot
follows instead of precedes the fact that he took
it. But I like it the way it is. I think it
mirrors the confusion of battle that this woman
is dying before the reader is sure what hit her.
[324] Qoreq is the metal specialist whom you met
in engineering when qaH'eng snuck vajar in, back
when their main concern was getting *Dugh* repaired.
[267] Whenever I write a sentence of the form, "Y
verbed X then Z verbed Y," it seems to make so
much more sense in Klingon than English, because
in Klingon "X [wot] Y ghIq Y [wot] Z" you can see
the chain properly, here the verb is tlha' and
you can see X=vajar, Y=Hota'ro', Z=ghutar all
following one behind the other. In the English
they are all mixed up which just seems bizarre. How do we understand it!
[170] Frozen marines: it's a John M. Ford thing.
Storable, thaw-and-deploy troops. Not much in the
way of memories or knowledge of current events, though.
