I think it uses the CD as a copy protection measure - to prevent you
from giving the CD away to a dozen friends and having them run the
thing, too. Since you can only run it if the original CD is in the
drive.

The downloadable version is personalised using a unique serial code,
so that's how it's tied to one person - with the CD version, the
'unique serial code' is the physical disk. (Well, disc, really; it's
optical, not magnetic.)

*nods* I noticed that when I transcribed all of the words (of the CD
version) to a file for my reference. Funnily enough, the error is in
both the Latin script and in pIqaD. (Or as I annotated it, tlh-Latn
and tlh-Qaak :D)

Also, did you notice that (at least in the CD version - didn't check
the DL version yet) the time strings are misspelled in the Latin
script? The pIqaD matches the spoken word; the Latin doesn't. (The
error is always the same one.)

And another typo (only in the Latin) is in the toothpaste. (And the
one in United Kingdom which has already been remarked upon; the pIqaD
confirms that the ending is the same as for the United States.)

Finally, the word for "eighteen" is... rather odd. Both in Latin and in pIqaD.

Cheers,
Philip
