That's a tough one...to me, the word Ha'DIbaH doesn't mean "dog" in the sense of "canine", it means "dog" in the sense of "cur", like "you old dog, you!".  In Power Klingon, we hear a Qogh in the background, which pants and whines very much the same way a dog would.  So maybe you could call it a tera' Qogh. If the animals are actually similar (in the made up world of Star Trek), that's what a Klingon might call it (I'm thinking of the precedent set by tera' peb'ot and tera' na'ran).
